Our Story

Aleana and Charles were engaged May 19, 2018 on a beautiful San Francisco day. They planned and coordinated their dream wedding to happen in Cabo San Lucas during the summer of 2020.

Like most that year, their plans had to change.

They postponed their wedding 3 times, having hope each time it would come together. Each time the circumstances wouldn’t permit the celebration they had hoped for.

From the onset, they had planned on getting the official paperwork done in Vegas in a small, fun, and casual ceremony. This was supposed to happen after the real wedding and before their honeymoon. Eventually, the delays pushed the ‘real’ wedding so far out that their honeymoon —which was already on the books, was right around the corner.

It just didn’t make sense to wait any more. They opted to do things a little out of order. Aleana and Charles got married in Vegas to make it official on 9.6.2020. It was a boisterous ceremony officiated by Elvis himself. To the few guests in attendance, this felt like the real wedding. In many ways it was. They headed for Bora Bora and had a wonderful honeymoon.

However, the dream wedding never left their minds, and frankly they were too far along to turn back.

So, now the couple has a special opportunity. They get the chance to do it all again, but more so. They plan to bring a deeper meaning and ceremony to their commitment to each other in the setting they had always hoped for. It was always very important to both of them to say their own vows (nothing against Elvis’!), and Aleana has yet to walk down the aisle in the dress she searched so long for, which Charles has still yet to see.

They are most looking forward to a chance to have their loved ones together in an amazing and special place to celebrate, especially after all this time.

To everyone who has hung in through this journey thank you so much for bearing through the difficulties, as these plans have changed so many times.

We are confident that November 14th is the real deal.
